The Student Government Association has recently developed into an exemplary model of excellence with many advanced structures similar to the federal government system. In addition it has many leaders that have emerged from the Key Club, and AOK. The AOK was formed to engage students in future advanced studies. In 1981, AOK members included Jamie Slatton, Eddie Cambas, and Dave Manning, who held AOK meetings throughout the area including the Pits near USF, the Orange Groves in Thonotosassa, Terrace Park, and other out of the way locations.
